Thanks to the generosity of people like you, approximately 150 economically disadvantaged children and their families experience the JOY of Christmas each year.

Since 1995 Joy to the Children has been able to serve the Nassau County community with continued compassion.

As you may know, Joy to the Children is a 501(c)(3) organization that operates with an all-volunteer board and workers.  Each year local restaurants donate the food for the Christmas Day feast and many local businesses donate the required supplies we need to operate.  This means your donation is used mainly for the purchase of toys, clothes, books, school supplies, personal hygiene items, and bedding consisting of new sheets, a blanket, and a pillow for each child. Your gift will help provide the only presents these kids will receive on Christmas Day.  We take pride in that we are one of the only organizations that shops specifically for each child in an effort to provide a personal touch and make Christmas even more meaningful.

The families we serve are chosen with the help of the Homeless/FIT (Families In Transition) Program of Nassau County Schools.  While most of the families are not actually homeless, they are displaced and living with relatives or in hotels.  It is difficult to express the joy and gratitude we see in these families each Christmas, so we have attached a thank you letter from one of our families.  As you can read, your commitment is making a difference in the community.

Your donation this year will greatly help in the continued success of this local program and that is why we are counting on your support.

You can help by sending your donation to:

or by donating via PayPal here on the website

Again, we cannot thank you enough for your involvement with Joy to the Children.  Your gift is truly a blessing to the many people that will be touched this Christmas.
