Expectations and Agreement of Board Member

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Attend the event on Christmas Day
Read and respond to correspondence promptly
RSVP promptly for meetings
Attend all meetings, arriving on time
Be open and interactive in meetings while being respectful of the meeting agenda and fellow members
Participate creatively in the analysis of information and help reach a planning consensus
Serve on at least one committee/team
Accept assignments with personal responsibility and follow through to timely completion
Read and maintain information provided to stay well-informed
Be aware of the whole calendar and the time constraints involved
Develop and maintain community contacts and resources on behalf of Joy To The Children
Be willing to use personal contacts and resources on behalf of Joy To The Children
Recruit and help retain volunteers, including new board members
Assist with fundraising activities
